YIRRAMBOI means ‘tomorrow’ in the shared languages of the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nations.
Join Australian and international guests to discuss what happens when First Nations artists create works for First Nations audiences, and how will this will make our tomorrow more powerful?
This will be an energising conversation, exploring the role of Indigenous leadership in generating creative autonomy, reinvigorating artistic practice, and Melbourne’s position as a global hub for First Nations arts.
Presented in partnership with YIRRAMBOI – First Nations Arts Festival.
YIRRAMBOI First Nations Arts Festival is a citywide Blakout, gathering creative visionaries from across Victoria, Australia and around the world on the lands of the Kulin. A ten day feast of arts and cultural events that honours the visions of yesterday and dreams forward into tomorrow.
