We are constantly told that self-driving cars are just around the corner and that the only thing holding them back are political or technical hurdles. But, the implications of self-driving cars and other forms of automated transport are far more significant. What potential dangers does this technology present for our society? And how might we start to address them before they arrive?

In this creative workshops, participants will be guided by a facilitator to imagine possible life scenarios with self-driving cars and automated vehicles (AVs). Inspired by sci-fi shows like Black Mirror, participants will be given narrative prompts to craft speculative, near-future short stories that explore the intimate moments, everyday dilemmas, and unexpected horrors we might encounter from AVs.

Please note this event will be held in the Wesley Place – Business Hub.
