Whether you are a globetrotter or an armchair tourist, there’s never been a better time to explore how sensory technology can transport us to places far away.
Surround yourself with the sounds of Italy in this immersive exploratory exhibition. Wander through the Italian Cultural Institute of Melbourne, while nine Italian cities come to life through distinct sound architecture, created by Italian sound artists. Investigate how these sound and image compositions can offer meaningful alternatives to transport us overseas to explore new places, revisit travel memories or even visit home, at a time when it’s not physically possible.
This interactive journey is presented by The Italian Cultural Institute Melbourne, in association with RMIT/SAAC, LIMINARIA, Sound Studies Forum and DISCUI/Universita deglis Studi di Urbino.
