Take part in a live writing project, as a scribe records your MKW experiences – straight from the horse’s mouth.
You will be prompted with a question at the start of your session, and the rest is up to you. Dive deep into your feelings about your Melbourne Knowledge Week experiences, or keep it big picture. As you reflect on the topics you explored and the new ideas you discovered, our scribes will capture your thoughts and experiences anonymously. Think of it like a transaction, as you hand over your experiences to be recorded and archived.
An exhibition of 1000 Scribe documents will launch in a special event on 3pm Thursday 29 April, available for public viewing at Melbourne Connect Hub from Thursday 29 April to Saturday 1 May.
The Digital Hub will allow MKW21 stories to be presented online, a public record for sharing and reflecting upon. Scribes will pop-up across all four MKW21 hubs with some key times listed below, no bookings are required:
- Friday 30 April: Melbourne Connect Hub, 10am – 2pm (braillist as well as scribes)
- Saturday 1 May: Wesley Place Hub, 11am – 3pm
- Sunday 2 May: roving scribes between Wesley Place and Meat Market Hubs, 11am – 2pm
Scribe is a project by Australian artist and curator Leisa Shelton, and has been running around the world since 2016.
