The past, present and future of Melbourne collide on the dancefloor, and everyone’s invited.
Is that device helping your child to play nice?
Art is a great way to tap into kids’ feelings and technology is giving us new ways to approach art. Artist Georgie Pinn challenges the idea that technology isolates children. With her digital animation projects, she teaches kids skills and sharing through body motion tracking, facial recognition software and good old-fashioned collaborative creation. Whether you’re an artist, parent, educator, arts professional or anyone working with children in the arts, join Georgie in this ArtPlay Artist Learning Session presentation. Please note this presentation is only for adults.
Georgie Pinn has 17 years of experience working as a director and producer of film, animation, sound composition and public cultural events with clients like BBC and Channel 4 in the UK. With empathy and education as the focus, her current projects investigate experimental forms of shared identity and experience, using narrative and the role of the custom made avatar.
