Nanoparticles: When size matters

Is sci-fi just fiction – or can it predict the future?

After a tour of the labs at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS), see a screening of the sci-fi classic ’Fantastic Voyage’, in which a miniaturised crew travel through the body of a colleague in an attempt to heal him. Take part in a post-film Q&A session to further dissect the wonders of bio-nano research. Compare how far we’ve come from this 1966 cinematic future – do recent advances in science and technology mean we’re closer to this becoming a reality?
