After six weeks of exploring ideas on how to use data and technology to improve safety for those travelling in and around the city, hear the top five finalists pitch their best ideas at the Open Innovation Challenge pitch night.
Now in its second year, the Open Innovation Challenge is designed to tap into the creativity and expertise of our community and stimulate new ideas and effective solutions for challenges faced by our city. Over the last couple months, City of Melbourne called on innovators, entrepreneurs, students and community members to find ways to improve safety for our city’s 920,000 daily visitors and residents. With a prize pool of $30,000 and major prizes including entry to the MAP Velocity program for early-stage startups and a trip to the Bundung Institute of Technology in Indonesia up for grabs, there is every reason to come along and see these finalists apply their talents and technologies to make our streets safer for everyone.
