Power to the people: Workshopping democracy

Sunday 26 May, various times

Future Boutique: Power to the People

Explore the past, present and future of democracy through a series of fun and interactive workshops.

As part of the Power to the People Expo, you’re invited to learn more about the evolution of democracy in three interactive workshops. Share your current experiences with government and imagine how democracy and our daily lives might change in the future. After the workshop, your ideas and suggestions on how to improve democracy will be made available online where we’ll invite the wider community to join the conversation and vote for their favourite concepts.

Workshops will be facilitated by Megan Girdler, founder of Melbourne-based digital engagement consultancy Future.Boutique. Megan will be joined by Max Hardy, one of Australia’s leading collaboration and deliberation experts and Dion McCurdy, founder of Digital Democracy app NewVote.

Come along for your preferred session, or even better sign up for all three!
