Become an arts activator and explore how you interact with the shared spaces of the city.
After a year of public conversations on the streets of Melbourne via the pop-up Public Field Office, participatory art and design practice Public Assembly asks you to think of the future as an artist in a series of conversations at Prototype Street and an interactive exhibition at Testing Grounds.
At Prototype Street take part in an intimate conversation about the way creatives interact with the shared spaces of our city. Join Millie Cattlin (The Projects) and Lynda Roberts (Public Assembly) in this series of short, action-based discussions with invited guests in the pop-up Public Field Office on Friday 24 May and Sunday 26 May 12pm – 3pm both days.
At Testing Grounds see fieldwork, imagery and audio recordings gathered through community contributions alongside a mobile reading space. Pick up an artist toolkit on how to work in and around civic spaces and systems to make art public and provoke ideas about the future of the city. This exhibition runs until Friday 7 June.
This event is free!
