So, what if Melbourne was underwater?

Wednesday 22 May, 12.30pm - 1.30pm

So-What-If_Melbourne-Was-Underwater

The experts have spoken – there is no doubt water is rising globally. But what will it mean for the people of Melbourne?

Your suburban backyard might not be growing seaweed, but the effects of climate change and rising waters will be felt right across our city. We might see a new wave of migration from cities that have been hit harder or may need to adapt to new ways living in our city. The reality of our water-washed future is upon us, so how will we stay afloat? Ponder our under water realities in this panel discussion with David Sornig, Dr Erin O’Donnell and Karen White.

This panel is part of our ‘So, what if?’ lunchtime talks series, presented in partnership with The Wheeler Centre, which includes:
