Where could you go if you just take that first step?

Hang out for a day with artists and programmers, makers and educators, all working together. Kickstart your dream with fast-paced workshops on motivation, idea generation, project planning, skill sharing and more. No spectators, just participants. Bring any ideas you want and put them into action. Come with your vision to launch a business, host a conference, build a robot, find a cure, open a food-truck, write a novel or start a revolution – and leave with new friends, action plans and practical tools to get cracking.

Brittany Laidlaw

Brittany Laidlaw is a sustainability educator and social enterprise expert with a strong background in entrepreneurship within the international and community development sector. Her commitment to sustainable development through innovative enterprise has resulted in awards including the 2016 Westpac Future Leaders Award. Brittany offers her skills as Program Co-ordinator with Unbound (formerly Laika Academy) whilst developing her own social enterprise focused on dance and nature connection.

Julian O'Shea

Julian O’Shea is the Founder of Unbound (formerly Laika Academy), a social enterprise that designs and leads innovative education programs across the Asia-Pacific region. Some of his previous projects also include the Link Festival of Design, Technology and Social Change; the Regioneering Road Show and the Journal of Humanitarian Engineering. His work in innovative education saw him recently named one of Australia’s Most Innovative Engineers by Creative Magazine.
