Melbourne Connect Hub

Join us at a place where incredible futures emerge in this purpose built innovation precinct.

Powered by the University of Melbourne in partnership with Lendlease, Melbourne Connect brings together world-class researchers, startups, SME’s, corporates, government, artists and the new Science Gallery Melbourne, in a purpose-built precinct in the heart of Carlton and next to the Uni’s Parkville campus and BioMedical Precinct.

Designed to become a digital and data powerhouse, the precinct has a focus on emerging technologies including AI, robotics, computer science, and cybersecurity, and aims to connect many of the most brilliant minds to tackle the most pressing problems facing our society.

Take part in a two-day hackathon with Engineers Australia and work as a team to solve a challenge facing our city. Explore brain health in Lifelong learning for better brains, through a range of hands-on activities such as drawing, creative writing and journaling, marvellous macrame, indoor plant care and more. Or, read anonymous experiences captured by Scribe, a project led by Australian artist and curator Leisa Shelton, capturing thoughts from public contributors with a portable writing desk. Discover all Melbourne Connect Hub events below.

Inside Melbourne’s new home of innovation, you’ll find a unique device for sharing big ideas and little secrets, our Ideation Station. Bring an old friend or make a new one as you listen to each other like never before.
