Anna Reeves

Anna is creative entrepreneur, producer and writer with a passion for future technology and culture change storymaking.

She began her career as a lawyer working with Australia’s leading media production houses in legal and business affairs. Her passion for advocacy came from being part of the research consulting team who reviewed the Australian Federal Government Envirofund policy. Moving into the not for profit sector, she became the US Campaign Director for a worldwide anti-poverty campaign with Global Citizen. She was also Charity Partnerships Manager for Lux & Eco, an online eco-store, working on projects such as Red Carpet Green Dress for the Oscars. Returning to Australia, she continued her interest in the business for impact movement, and devised a national program for SME and startups to achieve B Corporation certification.

Inspired by the power of story, technology and business to be forces for change, she also began working on company culture transformation programs as a writer/producer with global organisations such as the Accor Asia Pacific Hotel group, Qantas, BT, Westpac Group, KPMG, Vodafone, and AusPost. More recently she is co creator and showrunner on That StartUp Show, a Webby Award honored online TV series focused on transforming start up culture. At the same time, she associate produced her first feature film The Space Between which was selected as the Australian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards. She is currently exploring the evolution of empathy in a VR documentary. Anna is an honoree for the Tech Diversity Innovation Award (2016) and was recently nominated for a Techboard Community Leader Award (2017). She has a Bachelor of Arts and Law from the Australian National University. She is a regular speaker, MC, and mentor in the startup/innovation/creative tech arena.
