James Wheeler

Joshua Wheeler is a Director at MGS Architects with experience in design, planning, and architectural contract administration as well as urban design and master planning.

He currently is involved in the delivery of a number of large scale medium density residential projects, the development of senior education learning facilities and feasibility and design studies for sustainable transport interchanges. Prior to joining MGS in 2009, Joshua was an Associate Director of a leading Californian architectural practice from 1999-2003 specialising in arts, cultural and large residential projects, and successfully ran his own architectural practice in Ireland. Joshua is a registered architect in Ireland and California.

Joshua places a strong emphasis on the quality of the built product and all projects are grounded in an ethos of sustainability. While at MGS Joshua has worked on the award-winning Woodstock Rooming Housing, (RAIA 2007 Award for Interior Architecture and RAIA 2007 Award for Residential Architecture (Multiple Housing), and the Gisborne Retail Centre (RAIA 2005 Award for Sustainable Architecture).
